Growing a Generation of Givers

We are growing a new generation of philanthropists in the students of Central Texas.

The 2016 Day of Service will be held on December 2nd at the Central Texas Food Bank’s new home at 6500 Metropolis Drive. The positive spirit of this event is palpable! Come see our exuberant student philanthropists unload their hard-earned coat and can collections. All donations will be given to Junior League Austin’s Coats for Kids and Central Texas Food Bank. Legacy Middle and High School Students were invited to join us for the Youth Philanthropy Summit on 1/16/16. Designed to engage student leaders with their own voice through media, such as film, music, art or social media for community engagement and social change. Click here to find out more.

This spring, our student philanthropists learned about how food choices affect the community. Through Legacy-created curriculum, they become savvy food consumers and understand how advocating for healthy food choices can change the health of the community around them.
